MAY 2010
Hi All~
This has been a very busy year for most of us. Now with April spring flowers, it is time to get our special rides cleaned up and on the road again. For some of us it's all about the weather . . . so let it shine! Thanks to our active members we have made great progress towards the June 13th, King Charley's Show preparation. On the topic of the King Charley's Show the El Camino Classics Club members are looking forward to seeing and visiting with sister Car Club members from all over the Northwest area this June. Thanks to their participation we had a very successful 2009 return to King Charley's Show.
To become a vibrant and successful club, it will have to come from our members' interests and their commitment to having open communications, to share their views and talents with other members. Two of the best ways to communicate with our members would be to post monthly meeting updates thru our website, as well as quarterly newsletters. The website and the newsletter would contain monthly meeting discussions and would cover any old and new business and a consensus of the Club's activities, cruises and add a member's El Camino, with an article and photos of their vehicle. The April newsletter will feature John & Dora's 1977 4th generation El Camino.
At this May's meeting we will discuss show preparation items. Totaling sponsorship donations and major sponsor names, so that we can complete the show design. Audio management is in the works and we will discuss questions about trophies/judging, as well as work on the parking plan.
As the spring and summer months begin, our Club is looking forward to adding more new members, more activities, monthly cruises and having local members host the monthly meeting at their residences for more fun and socializing as a club.
