February Car Cruise 2/4/12

Everett to Conway for lunch at Conway Pub & Eatery.

The February car cruise was a great success! We had 3 El Caminos, a 2010 Challenger, '49 Ford and a '96 Chevy truck join us. Lots of sunshine and light traffic. We met at Albertson's on 128th St. at 11 :00 am and cruised to the Marysville 4th St McDonald's 76 station parking lot. We left there about noon and cruised up thru Tulalip, and up through Warm Beach. Then we continued on through Stanwood, where we could see the snow on the Cascades and Olympics mountains. Snow Geese, Hawks & Eagles and wild flowers were also fun to see along the scenic route, and there was even a hawk that bad landed on the side of the road right next to us as we continued to Conway for lunch at the Conway Pub & Eatery. The Conway Pub & Eatery was packed when we got there, luckily there was a big table opening up right as we walked in. There were quite a few bikes parked outside (like 40 or 50) and several collector cars too. Our cars fit right in. The consensus was the food was pretty good. The drive home was almost as good as the drive up there. We came home via Hwy. 9, with everyone turning off when needed to get to their homes.

Looking forward to the next cruise. I hope everyone is able to join us on the March cruise! Keep posted to when and where it will be. For those of you on Facebook, we have a page called "El Camino Classics" where you can find out about last minute cruises, but we will also e-mail the information. This time of year with uncertain weather, we will have a very short notice for the next couple of cruises. This will be determined by the weather reports. All cars are welcome, so tell your friends about our next cruise!!

Big Thanks to Ken Baker, Cruise Director.
